
Medan, Sumatraimages.com. The Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi, said the preparation of F1H2O in Balige – Toba is 100 percent complete.
“Preparation of the F1H2O in Lake Toba is 100 percent. We are ready to organize the world class championship powerboat racing successfully,” Edy told journalist in Medan, Monday, 20/02, 2023. However, Edy added, organizer still need to make arrangements and prepare access for local people who don’t have ticket so this international event can be enjoyed by all residents around Lake Toba.
The governor also asked all parties to maintain the cleanliness during the F1H2O event that will be run on 24-26 February, 2023. Edy said, cleanliness is one of the important points so that North Sumatra can host this event again next year. “We really focus on cleanliness. The God has given the beauty (of the lake) to us. Lake Toba is very beautiful.”

Edy reported that he had arranged exhibition booths for small and medium enterprises. He hopes the F1H2O will give large economic impact for the people who live around Lake Toba, especially those who run tourism business.
Lake Toba is a super priority tourism destination in Indonesia. Its beautiful nature and the unique culture of the people have attracted many tourists to come to this lake since long time ago. However, due to various reasons, the visitor number has declined sharply since twenty years ago, and even was worsened by the pandemic. Indonesian government through the tourism ministry hold this F1H2O world championship to revive the tourism business. (Sumatraimages.com)
